Yellow Beauties
Beautiful yellow flowers
Just like showers
Forming beds
Pretty sheets of yellow flowers
Scattered here and there
Like sun spots, yellow pock dots
On the ground like yellow dots
The wind can sweep and make
Neighbors weep
They pick the yellow beauties
Sadly spilled
A yellow procession of the ones that had been lifted
From the ground in which they had fallen
In bunches lifted and from here to there drifted
Lifted, drifted, shifted
They look so nice, their shape, color and size
They only sprout in springtime
Yellow makes me mellow, I their beauty recognize
A tree with its yellow carpet
Fills my heart in part and I my love impart
